Who joins FunForSingles?
FunForSingles Members are professional singles who are proactive in their social lives, but do not have the time they once had to meet new, fun and interesting people. Also, members join because they simply do not have access to a large group of likeminded singles who also want to be socially active. They are the type of people who want to get up, get out and do fun and interesting things in order to meet other singles with similar interests. Their focus is not necessarily on dating or getting married, although it happens all the time. Instead, they want to enjoy the wide variety of events, adventures and activities in a group atmosphere as a safe and effective way to develop new friendships and relationships. They are typically energetic, fun, interesting professional men and women who want to enjoy being Single and the advantages that has. Many members are very busy individuals who enjoy having FunForSingles being their "social planners" instead of having to try to get people together on their own. A lot of our Members have friends who are all married or are simply too unavailable to do the things they want to do. Many are also new to the area and may not have made new connections. They are the type of people who do not want to waste their time at bars listening to cheesy pickup lines at the bars! They are tired of being the third or fifth wheel or doing the same thing all the time. They would rather utilize their free time well and see results.

How will my membership work?
First, select your location on the right side of this page. That will take you to your club's homepage. Click on one of the links that encourages you to join and you will be taken to the page where you can sign up. Once you join, you will be able to access the Members Only area of the website with your personal Username and Password. That will be your main source for using the club. Our innovative, one-of-a-kind website helps you completely manage your membership and events. Here you will see all of the scheduled events, find out about updates or spontaneous events, and manage your account. There are many additional features that make your membership enjoyable such as the FunForSingles Travel section where you can access and sign up for all of the national and international FunForSingles trips. Once you access the Calendar page, you will see a list of all of the events. This is where you will see all details, including time, location, what to do when you arrive, and any specifics regarding that event. If you would like to attend that particular event, you simply click on it (and, if it's a pay event, pay for it) and you're registered! You can manage all aspects of your account online. Once you sign up, you simply follow the instructions given and show up at the event. All that's left is for you to have a great time at your event or adventure meeting other quality singles while having a lot of fun!

Do I have to pass a background check?
YES. The safety of our members and the integrity of the membership is of utmost importance. You must be Single to join FunForSingles. This means that you cannot be married, in a common law marriage, or living with a current or ex-spouse. You must have either never been married, be divorced, be widowed or be legally separated (papers are filed for divorce and you are not living with your pending ex-spouse). In addition, you must be stable and do not have a criminal record including any type of felony. FUNFORSINGLES DOES PERFORM A BACKGROUND CHECK. Since FunForSingles is A PRIVATE MEMBERSHIP CLUB FOR SINGLES ONLY, all applicants must meet our standards of qualification and pass our criminal background and marital status check. If you are under 21 years of age, have ever had a felony, recent bankruptcy (within 1 year), a DUI or DWI within the past 3 years or more than once ever, or are married, do not register for this service. The criminal and marital background check will be completed within 72 hours of your registering. The service company we use does not not check your credit. It verifies that you have no felonies, no criminal history and that you are not currently married. If it is found that you have a criminal record or are married, membership is terminated immedately with NO REFUND. The members will also be alerted for their safety and for the integrity of our service. Also, marriage after enrollment in FunForSingles terminates membership immediately.

Do members date or get married?
Of course! Hundreds of couples have found each other through our events and activities. Some become friends for a lifetime. Some become roommates. Some get together for two and three person bike trips, kayaking adventures or just to share a movie. And yes, many members date one another and get married! It just makes sense - put fun and interesting people together - and it is a natural occurrence. It's actually more prone to happen because there is no pressure. It's not forced - it just - happens! After all, if it's forced or done out of desperation, how good could it be? On the other hand, interesting and fun single men and women getting together for an enjoyable time engaging in activities of similar interests... great relationships result all the time.

What is the age range of the members?
You will meet members of all ages. The minimum age to join is 21. The majority of members are in their late twenties / early thirties to their early sixties. Typically, if you are between the ages of 28 through 60, you will meet plenty of members in your age group. Because there is such a great variety of events, singles of all ages are attracted to FunForSingles.

What is the gender ratio of the members?
Because of the nature of the organization, singles of both genders want to get out and have a great time meeting new people of both genders! Thus, the gender ratio remains fairly even. If there is a variable in the gender ratio, it always tends to lean more towards more females than males. However, there is rarely more than a 7% difference. Because members join every day, the ratio will vary.

I'm Shy!! Will I feel comfortable at the events?
Most folks are either shy or a little uncomfortable when first meeting people in a social setting. However, even the chronically apprehensive benefit from FunForSingles. This is a great way for you to meet new people without any pressure. Our members tell us that after their first couple events, even the most shy members become very comfortable. Signing up for and attending events becomes second nature. Many events are hosted by qualified member Event Coordinators. They specialize in introducing everyone and making them feel like one of the gang. For many Members, this becomes their main social outlet. So whether you're very shy, a little "out of practice" at being on the "Singles Scene" or you are the most outgoing person in the world - you'll feel comfortable and feel right at home. Our regular "New Member Mixers" help everyone get comfortable and start making new friendships and developing new relationships right away. Remember - it's all about having fun. Everyone has been new at one point... and they survived! You will too... and you will find how easy it is to get a lot out of being a member of FunForSingles!
